Cranbrook Music, Dance and Drama Festival

Welcome

The Cranbrook Festival has been set up by a caring group of local teachers to encourage and enhance a young person’s life through the performing Arts.

As this is our first year we have asked for guidance and supervision from the International and British Federation of Festivals who have agreed to support us. The festival is non-profit making and will be run as a charity. All those working on the festival will be doing so in a voluntary capacity.

The Arts Festival is open to all abilities in the fields we offer, be it Dance, Music or Drama. A separate Art Competition and exhibition will run along side the festival encouraging young artists to participate, and exhibit their work locally.

The Festival is competitive and each child or young person will attain a certificate of achievement, we will also award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals, cups and bursaries to encourage and assist with further training. The adjudicators are from outside the area and will impart their knowledge, experience and professionalism to the competitors.

Dulwich Preparatory School, Cranbrook, Kent has been offered as a venue for the main events. A Showcase, highlighting individual and group work from all the categories will be performed in a concert to close the festival.

We hope that you will participate in a wide variety of classes and enjoy the performances. We wish you all the very best of luck.

Yours Sincerely

Jane Coleman (Chairman) F.I.T.D.A A.I.S.T.D
